Piratheeca Vimalarajah completed her Juris Doctor (Common Law) at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and her Master of Arts in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affair. She has contributed to work to uphold the rights of women, refugees, internally-displaced persons and localized citizens in conflicted-affected areas within and beyond Canada, such as through the Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration (ORAM) in Israel, Just Governance Group (JGG) and Community Legal Services of Ottawa. She plans to continue actively working in these areas and contribute to people’s liberation advocacy for Eelam Tamils. As an articling student at SALCO, she works with clients in English and Tamil.
